Amy Sillman

These are good to see.

And a Schnabel across the street. Also saw a nice Schnabel at the Whitney upstairs from the Biennial.

More Drawing

I think Amy Sillman's drawings are really good. A show of Hofmann drawings at Ameringer Yohe are interesting to compare.

Hans Hofmann. We just forget what and how beautiful drawing is as itself.

Armory Show on the Piers

Good time at this show even though I said 10 years ago I would never go.

A painters worst NIGHTMARE I thought-- to be exhibited in a Gymnasium on movable walls sliding around and me on roller skates!

I feel bit of a rag picker.

Going around to the things that strike me.

Here Amy Sillman and Bill Jensen.

Great Michael Goldberg.

Then just great deKooning and Kline-- just in the smallest snippets worth the whole show.

These are usually at the ADAA show and where I feel an attendee of the Modernist Church.
