Sperone Westwater on the Bowery

If you can in good conscious get past the intimidating front door which seems more than just insensitive to the reality of the Bowery.

Past the art fair sculpture.

This painting is something!

They have a Salon style hanging of mostly mediocre stuff but it is fun to see it in this pristine white box gallery. One immediately makes different contemporary juxtapositions in one's mind-- a lot looked like Walt Disney to me, this a fun thing to feel and -- then much a feeling of a simulacrum of the real thing.

Pierre-Jacques Volaire

The artist seems to have adopted some of the painting style from the Villa of the Mysteries.
