Sandy Show in Sunset Park Comes Together Opens Oct 20

It would be hard for a Museum to better this show of John's.

I had been totally miffed by the Jeff Koons sculpture lined up for sale, last spring. I wondered if Zwirner would recover.

This show seems a return to sanity. It is a very carefully considered thematic show. Seven different  rooms have perspectives I had not seen as well in the past.

Upstairs the small sculpture made a room which reminded me of the "net of gems" idea in Mythology.

On a sketchbook drawing displayed John describes colors to be used as as "Jewel like".

Each room has some idea, which to me is the antidote to the money question.

 John has been gone since the spring of 2001.
